The station consists of an antenna, a VLF receiver and a data acquisition and logging software.

The antenna has a specific design and is connected to the receiver through a RG-58 coax cable.
The VLF receiver is tuned to a specific VLF station and performs the analog-to-digital conversion of the signal level.
The SID Monitor software performs data logging and graph generation.
In addition to that, a web server runs to provide access to real-time and history measurements and reports. You may view daily charts of the actual VLF signal level measured by this station.
The monitoring station is located in the South of France. It has the AAVSO observer code A118.
It is tuned to DHO38 transmitting on 23.4 kHz and located in Germany.
The transmitter is at a distance of about 1167 km, azimuth 21°.
